As a Senior Cube Developer you will be specialising in developing cloud-based Tabular Models and/or Multi-dimensional cubes, with DAX or MDX.
Reporting to the Analytics Engineering lead you will be powering our core operations such as Marketing, Finance and Product.

What you will do
- Develop and optimise cloud based cubes
- Develop and optimise MS SSAS cubes (tabular and dimensional)
- Develop and improve solutions spanning data processing activities from the data lake (stage) to star schemas and reporting view’s / tables and finally into SSAS.
- Collaborate with other teams within the organization and be able to devise the technical solution as it relates to the business & technical requirements
- Will be expected to mentor colleagues and be proactive in developing colleague skill sets to have a better understanding of Analysis Services
- Maintain documentation for all processes implemented
- Adhere to and suggest improvements to coding standards, best practices, and contribute to the improvement of these best practices
Who you are
- Experienced developer, used to complex multidimensional and tabular models containing multi billion rows data sets
- Experience optimising Cube performance
- Experience working in large enterprise environments as part of DW or BI functions
- Advanced SQL and ability to write performance optimised queries
- Essential ability and interest in understanding data from a business perspective
- Ability to communicate with business stakeholders and developers
- Strong development governance understanding, design to operate driven
- Proficient in DAX or MDX
- Industry standard Data Modelling skills (i.e. Kimball)
- Cloud based Cube technology i.e. Kyvos and Power BI
- Power BI dashboard development
