The key purpose of your role is to strategically plan and coordinate major projects initiatives within the organization, ensuring clear objectives and alignment with strategic goals. You will also oversee project governance, communication, and measurement of outcomes, driving regional adoption and delivering successful results.

Execution and Problem solving; Self driven to fix; BAU and forward thinking. You must be proactive in nature and seek issues to drive through to mitigation.

Define the scope of strategic projects and gain stakeholder buy-in:

  • Co-ordinate and provide thought leadership in definition of scope of initiatives across multiple major workstreams of work, across the steering group and the business owners
  • Working with the leadership team, head of programme mgt (Sports-Gaming) to ensure clear business cases against each initiative and a rationale on how this aligns with the strategic objectives. Use this as a method of prioritisation.
  • Conduct dependency mapping in sufficient level of detail to produce an overall project roadmap
  • Ensure the successful outcomes for each initiative are clear and there are KPIs in place to measure success.
  • Build engagement and comms plans to ensure we gain buy-in and commitment from the regional and operations stakeholders to ensure the initiatives are setup to succeed

    Govern and deliver the project:

  • Create a Project plan, Risks/Issues log, Shared drive and task list for every project
  • Regularly update all stakeholders as per agreed cadence
  • Clearly define roles and responsibilities for each project
  • Apply structured methodology and lead programme & business initiative activities
  • Setup up a project governance ensuring both the Sports/Gaming leadership group as well as senior regional stakeholders are aware of the risks and able to make effective decisions.
  • Present transparent reporting and metrics on the performance of the portfolio to enable intervention, removal of obstacles, make priority calls and deliver target outcomes.
  • Monitor and detect at risk initiatives and product a plan on how to bring back on track
  • Define a communication plan and set up a meeting cadence for each project

Drive through regional adoption and Measure Results:

  • See through delivery of capabilities as well execution of the adoption plan, through to measurement of benefits in the scoped regions.
  •  Ensure regular communication on intent and progress of the projects are available for the senior business sponsors, Global SLT and the Board if necessary. 

Essential:

● Significant experience delivering complex projects of work within digitally focused businesses
● Understanding of the importance of communications tailored to each stakeholder’s needs
● Strategic thinking and ability to articulate ideas clearly. Proven experience of translating strategy into excellent execution
● Demonstrable breadth of knowledge within large digital enterprises, working in a matrix style.
● Very Strong stakeholder management skills. Diplomatic in nature. Ability to build relationships to influence and guide amongst various levels of stakeholder seniority, from Managing Directors downwards
● Tenacious in nature, is not set back by pushback from difficult stakeholders and employs various approaches to achieving positive outcomes.
● Extensive presentation skills and experience.
