The Project Director will be expected to execute and problem solve, be Self-driven, forward thinking. Have the ability to Focus on inside CORE BAU deliverables. Will Own and drive execution of BAU objectives for your senior stakeholders’ programmes of work. 

The Programme Director in the Digital Ops & Transformation function is responsible for delivering large scale, complex change into the overall Entain Group. This individual is responsible for all elements of a project life cycle, from idea generation, planning and execution of delivery to landing an effective change that maximises benefit in all impacted business areas.

This individual must build this new capability within the Business and ensure adoption and stand approach is transformed across the Digital Business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Will execute multiple programmes involving – team management, senior leadership and day to day governance.
  • Will be responsible for drafting plans, strategy and getting them executed.
  • Will work closely with leadership to drive the direction in assigned areas of the business.
  • String influencing skills at executives and next layer down leadership.
  • Should have excellent team management skill and should be able to drive teams towards success.
  • Strong experience in building and managing large scale and high operational changes initiatives including working with 3rd party vendors and external stakeholders.
  • Should have strong experience in working with distributed teams.
  • Strong experience in working with virtual teams.
  • Should be able to build new teams, shift skills and reorganize existing teams for better efficiency.
  • Be a vocal, engaged member of the Digital SLT– Providing input into business wide issues and initiatives, and ‘lead from the front’ on all aspects of strategic delivery, operational performance, and organizational improvement.
  • Operationally focused, this is not just programme management, drive improvements in how the Digital Division operates.
  • Build and ensures the PMO playbook standards are adhered too, and executional methodologies adopted to drive improvement in project/program management.
  • Develop or approve budgets associated to your programmes.
  • Be able to work with the Director of Operations to drive executive of Corp or Tech/Product Initiatives.
  • Evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements.
  • Create and implement the Prioritization process for new projects and programmes, work with DLT to prioritize the initiative so that the wider Business works on those which provide the best benefit and is aligned with the Group Strategy.
  • Ensuring program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.
  • To support & drive a culture of discipline, excellence & development.
  • Work with the Digital Ops director to execute plans for the “Integration Blueprint”. As new Entities come on the tech stack you will be responsible for the delivery of the plans (laid out by the Digital Ops director. E.g. Safe implementation across Entain and Digital capability (Sports/Gaming/Marketing/BI/etc..) of Sports Interaction.
  • Supervise your team to provide feedback and resolve complex problems.
  • Build and define criteria for control and management of the programme or project.
  • Provide clear, consistent leadership to the wider community of stakeholders across Entain as appropriate.
  • As new entities are brought into the central tech stack, work with the Digital operations director to ensure execution of new entities are understood and implemented across Entain Group and all associated functions.
  • Ensure new operating model and ways of working are delivered with supporting functions across Entain Group
  • Ensure changes to our operating model in Entain are understood and implemented, work closing with the Digital Operations Director to execute against their defined structure and plans.
  • Be outcome focused, ensure all programmes of work have ROI, Objectives, and benefits. Monitor and drive initiatives so that these are realised.
  • Ensure central prioritization model is adhered to.

Essential:

  • Relevant Programme Management experience working in a complex environment dealing with multiple large scale Projects and Programmes. It is anticipated that the candidate will have been working in the Programme Director role during this time.
  • Must have worked in a FTSE 100 company at Director level.
  • Needs to be able demonstrate End to End Project Management across multiple work-streams with full financial responsibility. This must include delivery into a business function.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills at Director and Executive level.
  • Commercially astute, able to understand the impact of their activities onto a company's bottom line, the impact of depreciation, identifying and budgeting for ongoing costs once the project has delivered into BAU, Capex vs Opex.
  • At least 10 years Programme, Project and Change Management experience working in a complex environment dealing with multiple large-scale Projects and Programmes utilizing both internal and 3rd party resources
