The purpose of the role is to support the Director of Operations to take the Risk Mitigation and Responsible Gambling Strategy together with regulatory and industry developments and to unlock the potential to help the Group stay one step ahead of the demand. The desired outcome is to see these strategies embedded into our day to day culture to enable us to operate consistently across our portfolio brands. 

  

You will be the vital link between regulatory developments, and the wider business, ensuring that potential commercial risks are fully understood and addressed to support the risk appetite and business strategy.  By determining common themes and scalable strategies, you will provide valuable guidance during disruptive incidents and represent the Commercial teams on regulatory projects. You will own the long-term Risk Mitigation planning, identify compliance-related opportunities, actively participate in budget planning, and provide valuable risk input and consultation to key stakeholders. 

 
 
Role Duties
  • Communicating the upcoming internal, industry legal and regulatory developments to the wider business. Ensuring full visibility of the potential
  • Commercial Risks. Supporting Risk Appetite and Business Strategy.
  •  Supporting the Managing Directors on Prioritization of actions. Facilitating Risk Mitigation Analysis.  
  •  Delivering Monthly/ Quarterly/ Annual Risk Management decks.
  • Determining Common themes, scalable strategies and highlighting areas for best ROI. Providing value add, proactive guidance and advice  when a disruptive incident and/ or crisis occur.
  •  Represent Commercial teams on key group Regulatory projects – supporting gathering the requirements, shaping solutions to deliver on the strategy.
  •  Owning the roadmap to drive long term Risk Mitigation planning and efforts for UK Commercial. Highlight opportunities related to Compliance tools and processes.
  • Actively participating in budget planning and implementation of specific short, mid and long-term strategic initiatives. 
  • Supporting key stakeholders with the valuable second-line risk input and consultation. Providing insights into best practice and independent challenge to the assumptions using analysis, experience, and judgement. 
 
Skills & Experience 
  • Extensive expertise in Compliance framework, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of their principles and effectively navigating their complexities.
  • Proven track record in successfully implementing operational changes to minimize revenue impact in response to new regulatory requirements across
  • In-depth knowledge of the commercial implications and impact of regulatory frameworks, enabling strategic decision-making and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to senior management, effectively conveying complex concepts and influencing stakeholders at various levels.
  • Outstanding presentation skills, adept at articulating ideas clearly and concisely, ensuring key messages resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities, employing diplomacy and building relationships to influence and guide stakeholders of varying seniority.
  • Tenacious and resilient, adept at navigating challenges and overcoming pushback from difficult stakeholders, utilizing multiple approaches to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a comprehensive approach, ensuring tasks are accomplished thoroughly and with a keen focus on all relevant aspects.
  • Highly organized and efficient, consistently delivering exceptional results while maintaining a strong emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Previous experience with Risk Management across various worldwide markets would be an advantage.
