Our UK offices are based in Stratford in London, Nottingham & Manchester and operate on a hybrid working model. (2+ days in the office).

 

As the Group Head of Payments, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our group payments strategy, managing financial transactions, and enhancing the player experience. Your mission will be to drive sustainable revenue growth for the business, reduce avoidable costs and realise efficiencies whilst helping to revolutionise the payments space within the gambling sector.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Strategy

  • Overall accountability for devising and overseeing the execution of Entain’s Group wide commercial payment strategy.
Commercial
  • Develop and manage payment-related budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies for cost containment and revenue optimization.
  • Negotiating terms, fees, and agreements to both optimize the player experience and drive cost efficiency across the Group.
  • Act as the final escalation point for commercial payment related topics for the Entain Group
  • Evaluate new payment method offerings in the light of market need, competitor offering, costs and customer value.

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Cultivate and manage strong working relationships with payment providers, partners, and other relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively encourage communication and collaboration across the group, driving effective cross-functional collaboration.Proactively build relationships, breaking down silos and leading by example.

 

Governance

  • Ensure payment processing is conducted in compliance with financial regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) guidelines, data security standards and best practice.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard financial transactions.
  • Ensure the Group wide payment policy and governance set up remains in line with legislation, regulation, and best practice.
  • In conjunction with the Global Payment Processing Committee, ensure all processes and procedures support a compliant payment operational framework.
  • Oversee market entries from a payment relationship point of view.

 

Data and Insight

  • Utilize data analysis to monitor performance of providers, payment trends, transaction patterns, and player behaviours.
  • Stay informed about emerging payment technologies, industry trends, and regulatory developments, and apply insights to drive innovation.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations to optimize existing commercial relationships and to identify new opportunities.

 

Team Leadership

  • Provide effective and inspirational leadership and guidance to their team, ensuring that they are working effectively and efficiently to achieve company goals.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, actively coaching the team to develop and grow, creating development opportunities as they arise.

 

Values

  • Operates as an ambassador for Entain’s products, people, strategy, and values both internally and externally.
  • Keep player’s safety at the front of everything you do, promoting the importance of compliance and risk management in our business, ensuring all compliance and risk standards are adhered to.

 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Significant experience in the payments industry
  • In-depth knowledge of payment processing systems, financial regulations, AML guidelines, and data security standards.
  • Demonstrable proven experience in leading B2B contract negotiations.
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management skills across different levels of seniority, able to build and maintain relationships, influence at senior levels, negotiate effectively, able to flex style and approach to create opportunities and achieve the win:win.
  • Demonstrable leadership and communication skills, able to engage and motivate diverse teams, bringing them together behind a compelling vision to deliver.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret payment data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Ethical and professional conduct, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of financial integrity and player satisfaction.
