Do you have a passion and good understanding for greyhound racing? In this role you will assist the Racing team to maintain the integrity of greyhound racing at all times whilst supporting the Company in its objectives by the delivery of the required betting margin and to help deliver the best possible greyhound racing for on-course and off-course markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Racing team on delivering the most competitive racing product possible to deliver the required betting margin for the Company and competitors;
  • Completion of administrative procedures for the Racing team, both manually and on-line to include but not limited to; the generation of race results, prize money, license applications, registrations, ownership, season dating and retirement of greyhounds;
  • Assist the Racing Office Assistant with Kennel sessions when necessary;
  • Process incoming and outgoing calls and emails, recording messages clearly;
  • Receive, sort and distribute all incoming mail and dispatch outgoing mail;
  • Photocopy when required;
  • Input accurate data into the database during racing when required, including recording race times and photo finishes during racing;
  • Ensure all racing office data is kept up to date and organised;
  • Produce reports for the Deputy Racing Manager when needed;
  • Provide all other administrative support to the racing office;
  • To carry out any other reasonable requests made by the Deputy Racing Manager and Racing Manager.
  • Ensure that all equipment and areas used by the racing team is safe and is compliant with manufacturer’s guidelines for operation, reporting any concerns to the Racing Manager.

Specialist Skills and Experience:

  • A-Level or equivalent is preferred
  • Previous experience of working within a track racing office or an administrative role;
  • Knowledge and understanding of greyhound racing;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programmes and packages including Excel and Word and digital literacy for use of uniform industry racing programme(s);
