Role Purpose 

The Junior CMS Developer is an integral part of the BetMGM Creative Team. 

The role will be responsible for managing all web and mobile products for all BetMGM brands as well as designing, coding, and modifying websites in line with business specifications. The Junior CMS Developer will create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation. 

He or she is also expected to provide general support to the Studio Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general website updates including text and images changes, adding/editing/deleting content as required.
  • Schedule and publish pages and content according to business needs, marketing campaigns, and project briefs.
  • Perform user testing of websites to make sure all links, images, and content are correct, supporting the delivery of excellent customer experience.
  • Ensure that sites are coded in line with best practice (including W3C) providing our customers with a quality experience.
  • Proactively identify and drive site improvements, developments, and fixes to improve customer experience.
  • Implement best practice design methodology and process throughout the team to ensure the delivery of design consistency and customer centricity.
  • Perform quality checks on all personal outputs (i.e., cross browser testing, comparing design draft against final product, making sure pages match, and all content are in the correct place) ensuring that the completed work is error-free, meets the project brief, falls within the brand’s guidelines, and achieves the desired standards.
  • Participate and contribute to department and work-related meetings as required.
  • Timely communication and coordination with the team and other stakeholders.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • Must possess a Vocational/Short Course Certificate or bachelor’s degree related to programming, front/back-end development, or IT (or similar practical experience)
  •  Must be able to provide a comprehensive portfolio of past work

Specialist Skills and Experience Required:

  • Familiarity with modern web technologies and proficiency in the following programming language: HTML/XHTML, HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, and OO development.
  • Must understand API integration and CORS policy and knows PHP, MySQL, and XML.
  • Experience working with CMS is desirable, preferably Liferay Portal and WordPress.
  • Able to produce responsive web pages for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices from design mockups.
  • Previous experience in web development (1-2 years) is required.
  • A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work.
  • Good English communication skills, written and verbal.
