As a Business Analyst, your role will primarily be data focused. You will become a betting industry data subject matter expert, responsible for engaging with teams and stakeholders at all levels to manage requirements and delivery needs and translate them for the architects and engineers, in alignment with our design and delivery patterns. As well as supporting the process through to successful UAT.

Reporting to the Head of Architecture - Analytics you will work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and data engineers to understand requirements, identify opportunities, and drive data-driven decision-making within the organization.

What you will do 
  • Act as an interface between internal customers and the delivery team.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to interpret and document data functional and non-functional requirements, including data quality and governance aspects.
  • Backlog management.
  • Drive refinement sessions either as part of waterfall or iterative sessions.
  • Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to drive project success.
  • Maintain data documentation as necessary such as data dictionaries and business logic.
  • Interface with internal teams such as Info Sec, Data Protection and Data Governance.
  • Support the delivery process to UAT completion.

Who you are 

  • Past experience in a data platform/warehousing projects as a Data Business Analyst or similar
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python).
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Solid understanding of SDLC.
  • Knowledge of data privacy concepts (i.e. GDPR) and governance.
  • Experience in large digital companies with high volumes of transactions (e.g., finance, telecom).
  • Solid skills in document editing.
  • The ability to perform data profiling and validation as necessary to capture business logic, support requirements gathering and, on occasion, help identify quality issues.
