As Principal Engineer, you will autonomously oversee the entire lifecycle of highly complex projects and features, encompassing design, development, and deployment within the team. You will work closely with the Real Time CRM Engineering Lead and Development Team, to ensure stability and scalability are at the forefront of any implementations.

Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you will be part of the Insights, Data & Analytics team who are responsible for ensuring stability and scalability are at the forefront of any implementations.

What you will do

  • Possesses an in-depth understanding of multiple programming languages and paradigms, including proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js, with a focus on microservices architecture and React for front-end development.
  • Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in a specific technology area while maintaining a working understanding of how related systems interact with their technology stack, particularly emphasizing expertise in TypeScript, extensive AWS services, and Postgres databases.
  • Works on challenging the tech status quo and provides solutions to propose improvements, automation, and tech modernization within the Java, Spring Boot, and microservices ecosystem.
  • Enhances architecture and code structure within the React and Node.js domains to promote testability, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Analise the broader technical picture, identifying bottlenecks, dependencies, and influences with other components or parts of the system within the specific technology landscape.

Who you are

  • Proficiency in Java programming with exposure to modern Java language features. Familiarity with additional modern programming languages like Go, Node.js, and Python.
  • Strong problem-solving skills within a distributed architecture.
  • Expertise in system design, object-oriented design, design patterns, and principles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, ensuring a systematic and efficient approach to application development.
  • Skill in building performant, high-frequency, low-latency, scalable, and highly available applications.
  • Ability to design solutions according to requirements, encompassing Monolith/Microservices, SQL, and Synchronous/Asynchronous paradigms.
  • Proficiency in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment Automation & Orchestration.
  • Competence in containerization of applications and automated deployments using tools like CodeDeploy
  • Expertise in APIs/Web Service Integration for seamless communication and data exchange between software systems.
