As the Enterprise Risk Manager you will help define, shape & plan the Risk strategy, programmes and initiatives, and then manage project delivery. What you will do 


  • Support all aspects of risk operations including risk assessment planning, delivery, and reporting.
  • Facilitate risk workshops with senior stakeholders across the business, including emerging and climate related risks.
  • Support risk owners and BU leaders to articulate and assess risk (both threat and opportunity) and draw up appropriate management plans.
  • Work with the business to identify and assess existing controls and new action plans required to effectively manage the risks identified.
  • Build close working relationships with key partners/stakeholders to develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships to promote, embed and develop risk management and a risk aware culture.
  • Support the risk-leads to maintain their Risk Registers, Risk Action Plans and significant Risk Dashboards in each part of the business.


    Who you are 


  • Membership of the IRM or a similarly recognised professional body
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in risk-related roles
  • Relevant experience reporting to Leadership Teams, Boards or Audit Committees
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Commercial understanding/acumen of business KPIs.
  • Experience producing business cases which focus on customer experience and commercial drivers.
  • Develop, review and challenge strategic business plans and understand key inter-relationships between initiatives. Brings the stakeholder experience into every journey.
  • Demonstrate can do attitude at all times and believe in challenging and developing ourselves.
  • Fast learner with clear career ambitions for the future.
  • Team player who builds excellent working relationships with other team members and stakeholders alike. Works across functions to solve problems.
  • Managing complex, multi-functional, cross-organisation project teams, including liaison with 3rd parties.
