We're searching for a Media Relations Manager extraordinaire to join our small yet dynamic IR, Comms & ESG team.

As our Media Manager, you'll be the architect of stories that showcase the essence of our business, navigate through the intricacies of our global operations, and emerge with stories that inform, engage, and promote our corporate brand.

Reporting to Senior Manager, PR, you’ll be joining us at a pivotal moment for our business, where media relations will take centre stage in shaping our corporate brand and building our reputation. What you will do 

  • Storyteller: Distil complex business news into compelling stories that captivate our target audiences. As our resident storyteller, we’ll look to you for creative ideas, mining data, creating engaging written content, and taking our stories to media.
  • Media Maestro: Proactively cultivate relationships with target media to ensure our stories receive accurate and comprehensive coverage. Maintain a media list for precision-targeted outreach, all while keeping a watchful eye on industry trends.
  • Press Office Conductor: Compose and maintain a press office calendar, meticulously recording key business milestones, events, activities, and stories to ensure a seamless orchestration of our media engagements for the business year.
  • Impact Analyst: Collaborate with our third-party supplier to generate monthly and quarterly reports to measure the triumphs of press office activities. This includes dissecting media coverage, tracking key performance indicators, and offering insights for how we can do better.
  • Issues Navigator: Navigate the ever-evolving landscape of industry developments and issues in the world of sports betting and gaming, collaborating with our agency to maintain a media statement and issues tracker.
  • Collaborator: Unite with the wider team to ensure the successful delivery of our communications strategy. Be not just a team member, but a collaborative force willing to flex beyond your immediate responsibilities to drive the wider team’s success.
Who you are

ESSENTIAL

  • Strong understanding of corporate communications practices, with experience working in-house or within an agency
  • Proven track record of successful media engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive and deliver in a challenging, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment.
  • Creative and proactive mindset.
  • Strong team player and flexible.
  • Self-motivated, professional, and focused in all aspects of work.
DESIRED
  • Experience of working in regulated industries.
  • Genuine interest in the sports betting and gaming industry.
