As a Studio Broadcast Assistant you will assist in delivering the high-quality live broadcast of sports, racing results and promotional content by presenting live on air for Ladbrokes shops across both Northern and Republic of Ireland.

What you will do 

  • Provide a professional & high-quality live audio broadcast to Ladbrokes Ireland retail estate
  • Prepare and deliver sports, racing and results reports
  • Gather and rewrite material so that broadcasts will convey the required information and fit specific time slots
  • Study background information in order to prepare for programme or interviews, including bespoke Irish Sporting events
  • Conducting interviews with various sporting experts on and off air
  • Control audio equipment to regulate the volume and sound quality during radio broadcasts
  • Constantly observe and analyse live output and feedback relevant data to the Producer during live operations to improve overall service and sales opportunities and to minimise the effect of any unexpected event.
  • Create, record, and edit audio promotions for broadcast output
  •  Assisting in and creating daily screen plans for the Northern and Republic of Ireland estate ensuring all relevant information and promotional content is included
  • To evaluate and enter market data issued from other departments for inclusion on our shop screens, ensuring that key facts are correct, and the display is never out of date or inconsistent with the day’s strategy.
  • Careful implementation of marketing promotions and strategies, sometimes at short notice.
  • Daily set up and application of promotional content for display on the Ladbrokes customer facing Early Price Screens, ensuring accuracy of all content
  • Accurately set up daily promotions in the Ladbrokes Ireland Retail Till system, ensuring all promotions are set up correctly in order for them to work in the tills for retail staff and customers

Who you are 

  • Exposure to broadcasting or journalism with a minimum of 1 years experience in journalism, broadcasting or radio
  • Ability to work off own initiative.
  • A keen interest in several sports/racing and familiarity of the betting industry
  • Strong communication skills- verbal and written.
