About The Role

We're looking for a OLAP Developer to join our team in either Gibraltar, Vienna or the UK!

The OLAP Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining the business cubes. This role is crucial to the company as the cubes are used across the business for reporting and analytics.

The ideal person will have experience with cubes (and if senior) also experience with MDX & DAX. Could this be you?

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and optimise cloud-based, Kyvos cubes
  • Help to migrate our MS SSAS cubes to Kyvos & support our MS SSAS cubes until they are decommissioned
  • Work in our cube scrum team, actively participating in the relevant ceremonies
  • Develop and improve solutions spanning data processing activities from the data lake (stage) to star schemas and reporting view’s / tables and finally into SSAS.
  • Collaborate with other teams within the organization and be able to devise the technical solution as it relates to the business & technical requirements
  • Will be encouraged to mentor colleagues and be proactive in developing colleague skills to have a better understanding of Analysis Services
  • Maintain documentation for all processes implemented
  • Adhere to and suggest improvements to coding standards, best practices, and contribute to the improvement.
 What we need from you:
  • Advanced SSAS (Multidimensional and Tabular) or equivalent tech. Both developing and optimising for performance
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments as part of DW or BI functions
  • Advanced SQL and ability to write performance optimised queries
  • Solid Excel
  • Great communication skills to collaborate business and developers accordingly
  • Strong development governance understanding
 Desired but not essential:
  • Cloud experience (ideally GOOGLE)
  • Cloud based Cube technology i.e. Kylin, Kyvos
  • Proficient in MDX and DAX
  • Competence using Powershell
  • Dashboard development (PowerBI or Tableau)
