About The Role
Purpose of Role: 
 
We have an exciting new role in the global data privacy team at Entain to lead efforts to audit our maturing data privacy program to ensure ongoing compliance of applicable data privacy legislation and our internal data privacy policies.

We are looking for someone who comes from a strong privacy background and has the skills and drive to measure the effectiveness of our privacy program through regular audits. Knowledge and experience with auditing privacy or compliance programs against established certifications is preferable, but not essential.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years’ experience as data privacy professional and good knowledge of data privacy legislation and what it takes to create and maintain a successful privacy program.
 
Key Responsibilities: 

Monitoring Program

  • Working closely with the Data Privacy Manager to ensure ongoing effectiveness of the global privacy monitoring program through its entire lifecycle and establish strong metrics to that effect.
  • Being the primary lead on executing all privacy tasks, projects and assessments which require regular reviews.
  • Partnering with the privacy technology lead (Data Privacy Engineer) to perform regular assessments and privacy audits of our technology to ensure privacy by design methodology is firmly embedded and continues to be adhered to within our infrastructure.
  • Partnering with the retention program lead (Data Retention Manager) to support the ongoing monitoring and adherence of the Group Data Retention Policy.

Managing day-to-day workflow tasks

  • Creating new and additional workstream groups and tasks.
  • Acting as the ‘Admin approver’ for all completed tasks submitted through the workflow tool.
  • Re-assigning and working closely with the DPO’s on workstream tasks that require further review.
  • Ensuring DPIA’s are reviewed in a timely manner (In line with their review frequency).
  • Defining the frequency and methods of monitoring all aspects of the privacy program.
  • Advising and working with the privacy operational, retention and technology sub-teams on suitable solutions to revisit and monitor key workstreams and projects.
  • Working closely with the technical teams to support the maintenance of the workflow tool and escalating any queries where required.
  • Distributing and assigning tasks amongst the team, where additional support required.
  • Being responsible for ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Preparing regular reports and metrics.

Privacy Program Implementation

  • Support the privacy team with the implementation of the privacy program as part of new license applications (new territories entering) and the M&A process.
  • Support the Data Privacy Manager in carrying out regular gap analysis on the privacy program to identify areas of improvement.
  • Develop and implement solutions to ensure privacy policies are being correctly implemented or where failures have been identified through the monitoring program.

Internal & External Audits / Privacy Due Diligence

  • Supporting internal and external privacy audits, including the collation of documentation and information, meeting with auditors to provide context and answers to their questions and preparing and executing any audit remediation plans.
  • Acting as the privacy point of contact for support on non-privacy audits or license applications outside of the privacy team.

Privacy Certification Frameworks

  • Researching privacy certification frameworks for the privacy team to consider, e.g. Privacy extension to ISO27000 (ISO27701:2019), Euro Privacy etc.
  • Where required, lead in the preparation for becoming certified against such frameworks, as well as ensuring ongoing adherence.
Competency, Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
 
Essential
  • 5+ years’ experience as data privacy professional.
  •  Excellent understanding of and keen interest in privacy laws & regulations and security compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, SOC2 and SOX).
  • IAPP Qualifications, such as the CIPP/E or CIPM, or equivalent.
  • Project Management skills or experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), ability to influence without authority.
  • Ability to balance risks in ambiguous and complex situations.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, in particular in leading or contributing to global and multi-functional teams.
  • Highly motivated to contribute and grow within a complex area of emerging importance.

Desired

  • Previous experience of working in the gambling or gaming sector, preferably in a global digital consumer business.
  •  Experience in auditing roles in data privacy or compliance.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of privacy certification frameworks and bodies.
  • International experience outside of the UK.
  • Prior experience or knowledge with the privacy-enhancing technology and data visualization tools.
