You'll be involved in building the next age band of betting products whilst working with powerful technologies in an Agile, global environment. You will act as a team closely with Quantitative Analysts, Product Managers, Business Analysts and other developers of the company.

 

🎯 As a member of a Scrum team, you are a great software engineer with a passion for writing fine code. You should be intimately familiar with agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and responsible experimentation.

We are looking for someone to come on board and help us define all aspects of data engineering (from process to tooling) and work closely with our world-class Quants team.


What you'll be doing:

 

  • Building data pipelines, ordering, and cleansing data for the Quants team (data acquisition). Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling.

  • Manage and organize data, including pre-and post-processing, storage, and accessibility.

  • Design and implement scalable ETL solutions (structured and unstructured; batch and streaming).

  • Define and set best practice standards surrounding data (i.e., data modeling, job scheduling, and monitoring)



    What we need from you
    :
  • Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficient knowledge of at least one programming language (F#, python, C# in that order) and hands-on experience or a keen interest in data engineering and persistence technologies such as Kafka, Hive, RDBMS and typical NoSQL stores, S3.
  • Expertise in Relational database engineering and NoSQL database engineering.
  • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • Ability to effectively design and adopt ETL systems and data pipelines.
  • Conceptual knowledge of business intelligence and big data solutions, advanced analytics, data warehousing, and/or performance management applications.
  • Knowhow about best practices in data warehouse modeling (layer architectures, modeling methods).
  • A thorough grasp of DevOps concepts.
  • High driving force and interest in sports/sports betting domain
  • Great arithmetic and logical skills. 🎯
