Purpose of Role:

As a Product Manager in payments, you will be part of a team that helps build tools to manage, innovate and optimize the way we deliver flawless payment integrations and excellent customer experience across the Entain product suite and services. You will be working very closely with the Payments Product Team, engineers from Tech Teams and data experts in a fast moving and exciting environment. You will be responsible for transforming the Payments product strategy into product delivery, driving the achievement of results defined with a major focus on requirement analysis and engineering. Although not limited to, the Key areas of focus will be managing the products in the North American region.

Secondary to delivering successful results, you will be also be responsible for effectively managing operational issues and bugs that may have dependencies on 3rd party and/or internal tools to ensure that they are resolved quickly to minimise any impact on customers.

Responsibilities (possible Roles):

  • Product Management
  • Working with Lead Product Managers to prepare roadmaps, contribute ideas, identify opportunities and define functional requirements in the product backlog.
  • Market/competitor analysis to identify the gaps in offering or UX; and also analyze the KPIs to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Groom epics into vision boards and subsequently user stories related to the product area and confirm readiness for sprint planning
  • Derives input for enhancement and maintenance of existing product/features
  • Filling the gap between high level product requirements and concepts and define clear specifications that will guide the delivery plan. (functional and non-functional requirements)
  • Requirements engineering
  • Write detailed scopes and user stories and provides clarifications on the user stories – for the team
  • Creation/maintenance and management of requirements from all internal stakeholders
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing
  • End user training + training material (internal tools), assisting in briefing for product marketing
  • CS alignment and briefing
  • Text and translations incl. user help and Terms and Conditions
  • Be an advocate for user experience and a promoter of user experience-driven and player journey focused work throughout the team and the whole company.
  • Co-ordination of dependencies between tasks, scrum teams or projects
  • Maintenance and enhancements <-- ensures steady development of existing product within defined budget for it
  • Conception (being part of conception phase) – concept overview + high level requirements
  • Working with Scrum teams
  • Responsible for clarification of open topics with product head/ Business analysts
  • Working with scrum teams and participating in their ceremonies (Grooming, planning, reviews)
  • Alignment with other backlogs (functional level)
  • Review (functional) test cases
  • Derive and publish Root cause analysis of bugs that cannot be resolved by Lean Operations (DevOps)
  • Bridging between worlds (Product, Providers, Operational units, Scrum teams, different locations, …)

Knowledge/Expertise/Qualifications:

A strong argument for an engineering background in the field we are in (e-gaming): a big part of defining a successful product is in understanding technology and seeing how it might be applied to help solve a relevant problem or exploit a certain (future) opportunity

  • 3+ years of experience in a Product Manager or an Agile Business Analyst role preferably within Payments.
  • Good understanding of gaming business, payment systems, and user experience
  • Good technical understanding <-- "software engineering/business informatics" as educational background <-- 5 years practical experience
  • Proven ability to work effectively with international, cross-functional teams and to internalize new processes and developments in a highly dynamic industry.
  • Ability to support business cases creation, detailed functional specifications and wire frames, with an excellent track record of developing, launching, and marketing online products.
  • Proven track record in requirements engineering ß 5 years of practical experience
  • Good analytical, modelling and writing skills - convey the message in the shortest possible way to communicate information effectively to customers, managers, and technical staff
  • Interviewing skills - to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information
  • Flexible modelling skills - (e.g. use case modelling) to represent requirements information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language
  • A broad and comprehensive technical understanding is required as well as a good understanding of product development processes and concepts (especially in an agile environment).
  • Experience in player journey/user experience and web/software user interface development.
  • Ability to present ideas, and recommendations clearly in verbal, written and presentation formats.
  • Proven track record for successful project management <- 3 years practical experience
  • Excellent communication skills (English) in both written and verbal format
  • Not afraid of the "very last detail" to go into / but ability to aggregate to a proper level of information for others
  • Results orientation and efficiency - works in an environment which is often that complex that a proper solution won't always be visible nor is the way towards this solution easy to plan.
