WHAT YOU’LL DO  

The global Insight & Research function helps us understand the climate we’re operating in, how our brands are performing in a competitive context, and gives guidance on customer needs, motivations, preferences and intentions. Insight has a key role in guiding the business and is fundamental in supporting our strategic decisions.

In particular, Entain invests heavily in its brands with a very significant marketing spend, and research is a critical pillar in managing that investment, alongside insight supporting the end to end customer experience across multiple products.

This role reports to the Group Director of Insight and Analytics, and covers all Entain digital sports betting and gaming brands across the UK, Europe and South America. In the UK, it covers both the digital and retail channels. You’ll be leading a sizeable in-house research team (15 to 20 people). The team is divided between a centralised group and a series of local market specialists allowing us to gain synergy and uniformity across markets in our tracking data, tools and suppliers, whilst maintaining local flexibility and responsiveness. 

As Global Insight director, you’ll be responsible for setting the global research and insight vision and co-ordinating the centres for excellence and the local market teams behind those business needs. You’ll work closely with the regional MDs to ensure you understand their focus and priorities and be responsibly for delivering any insight required at a global level. Whilst leading the research specialists in the organization, this role will look to leverage all the data and information across the organization (BI, finance, third party data, data science insights, etc.).

At the core, this role will be key to answer the most important and pressing business needs at regional and at Exco level, by providing insight and recommendations by harnessing the wealth of information that exists in Entain to provide a cohesive and structured point of view.

  

WHO YOU ARE  

●       Experience in senior leadership, managing large insight and research teams and proven track record in effective people management

●       Experienced with managing a 7-figure research budgets and setting research goals and long-term agendas

●       Highly capable at presenting to, engaging and influencing stakeholders at a senior exec level

●       Ability to combine multiple sources of data (research, BI, 3rd party,etc) to provide key insight to drive. Decisions.

●       Ability to prioritise demands from multiple stakeholders

●       Proven record of turning research into insight. Ability to interpret data and recommend action 

●       Expert in market research practice. Experienced with multiple methodologies, multiple markets

●       Clarity of communication - both written and oral, comfortable presenting to large groups.

●       Highly capable of becomes of trusted partner of Exco level stakeholders, and work effectively with them to support their decision making.
