Within this role, you will be responsible for the delivery in Retail of our Sports Product budget. It will be your job to develop a market leading and compelling proposition across all sports (excluding football and racing) that appeals to customers, complements our broader Retail Sportsbook proposition and translates into out-performance of the sports NGR budget.

  • Working with all key stakeholders, including the Head of BetStation, Trading, Finance, Marketing and Operations, to ensure plans are aligned with other teams’ key objectives and deliver value for our customers, set us apart from our competitors and enhance the experience of our Retail customer base.
  • Develop, agree and onwardly lead all promotional activity across sports, working with the Head of Retail Sportsbook Proposition, Trading and Marketing
  • Manage the end-to-end implementation of plans, ensuring that they have maximum impact, and undertake full reviews of all activity to bring together findings so that we continue to enhance our proposition and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Work with Trading, Customer Insight teams and across Commercial Sportsbook, to understand the behaviour of sports betting customers and enhance their experience, using this insight to continue to evolve the sports delivery plans
  • Ensuring that our Sportsbook proposition is compliant and is delivered in a way that is open and fair and means our customers can continue to gamble safely.
  • Self-motivated with drive and passion to make improvements and achieve results
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Sporting Calendar and an interest in the sporting world
  • Strong, clear and appropriately pitched communication and influencing skills, with an ability to adapt both style and approach
  • Gravitas and credibility to operate at a mid to senior level, with the ability to develop cross-functional relationships effectively and quickly
  • Ability to influence and manage senior internal stakeholders including to Exec level where appropriate
  • Proven track record to analyse and understand large data sets in order to establish the plan
  • Ability to proactively develop, implement, manage and review a promotional plan
