Objective of the role:
The Senior Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all statutory, compliance, AML and risk obligations are adhered to. The Compliance Manager is to intersect with Entain Functions to ensure all obligations are met in an accurate, timely and best practice manner. This role is also expected to take an active part in dealing with compliance and AML related matters and reporting any concerns or changes in process to the COO and assist in new License applications.
General Regulatory Obligations:

Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective systems and contr ols for compliance with applicable requirements and standards under the regulatory system that our businesses operate under intersecting with the broader Entain Regulatory and Compliance teams

A focus on the Australian Businesses in reviewing and monitoring the onboarding new customer/players, checking KYC/identification where necessary, reviewing PEP/sanctions databases and weeding out any false positives.

Responsible for identifying and assessing the compliance risks associated with the organisation's current and proposed future business activities, including new products, new business relationships and any extension of operations or network on an international level.

Responsible for advising management on the applicable laws, regulations, rules and standards and inform them about any development in these areas

Responsible for establishing written guidelines to staff and service providers on the appropriate implementation of the laws, regulation, rules and standards through policies and procedures (AML/CFT Compliance Manual); Maintain all compliance policies and supporting infrastructure.

Responsible for assessing the appropriateness of internal policies, procedures and guidelines, ensure a follow-up of any identified deficiencies, make recommendations for amendments to the Board where necessary and supervise the implementation of corrective measures to mitigate the identified deficiencies.

Responsible for monitoring compliance with internal policies, procedures and guidelines by performing regular and comprehensive compliance risk assessments and testing; report the results on a regular basis and promptly where deemed necessary to the Board.

Responsible for providing a central point of contact for all information on compliance-related issues (e.g. breach of regulation, non-respect of procedures, conflict of interest)

Responsible for ensuring all compliance reports are submitted promptly and accurately to the regulator.

Responsible for educating staff through regular AML/CFT training with respect to compliance with the applicable laws, rules and standards and act as advisor on compliance queries from staff members.

Responsible for maintaining the firm's operational risk management assessment and for reporting relevant significant risks to the Executive team

Assist in license applications for new jurisdictions.
AML Officer:

Act as AML Officer for our Australian business which is regulated by NT Gambling Commision (NTGC)

Monitoring and day-to-day operation of AML/CFT policies. Respond promptly to any reasonable request for information made by the NTGC, Austrac or any other law enforcement.

Responsible for establishing the basis on which a risk-based approach to the prevention of money laundering/terrorist financing is put into practice and review the approach on a regular basis.

Ensure all AML/CFT reporting requirements are met in line with the required standards.

Ensuring that adequate arrangements are in place for the awareness and training of employees. In particular the training that must be offered should be of a high standard and the scope must be appropriate.

Liaising with broader Entain Regulatory and Compliance teams to ensure we are meeting all requirements including but not limited to training
People Management:

Lead and manage the Compliance team to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and in line with relevant deadlines

Take responsibility for the day to day management of the entire Compliance team ensuring, but not limited to; recruitment, retention, learning and development, annual leave management, performance management and total team engagement for all Compliance team members

Monitor, evaluate and report on the performance of the Compliance team members

Coach and mentor the team members to ensure effective and efficient Compliance operations
Key skills required:

Relevant Compliance Qualification (i.e. ICA Diploma or equivalent)

Proven experience in a similar compliance role, ideally in a local licensed eGaming business

Experience in the eGaming and cryptocurrency sectors

Knowledge of AML/CFT legislation both domestic and international

Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
