WHAT YOU’LL DO

Entain’s treasury operations encompass managing our £3.8bn of external debt, £4bn of swaps, hundreds of millions of customer and corporate cash, foreign exchange deals, and funding our business operations in more than 40 countries.
 
As Group Treasury Accountant, you will be responsible for the reporting of all cash and debt information within the Group for internal and external purposes, and acting as lead accountant for our in-house bank and other group treasury companies. We’re looking for a high-performing, enthusiastic and ambitious individual with an eye-for-detail, ready to take-on responsibility quickly.
 
• Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on Group consolidated cash, debt, and leverage; reconciling management and statutory information and explaining any variances
• Continuous development and improvement of cash reporting and forecasting to drive greater analytical capability and better management of cash performance
• Work with treasury to create a single suite of Group wide cash reports that are concise, targeted and insightful and alignment of systems and steamlining of processes
• Financial accounting for the Group’s in-house bank and other group treasury companies, including determining the appropriate accounting treatments for loans and derivative financial instruments in accordance with IFRS
• Month end finance company processes, reconciliations and reporting
• Prepare the statutory accounts of the group’s treasury companies in accordance with FRS 101/102 and oversee the statutory audit of these accounts
• Financial accounting for treasury transactions as part of our frequent acquisition structuring and internal restructuring transactions, including liaison with treasury, M&A, legal and tax colleagues.
• Liaise with Divisional Finance teams regarding funding, deposit and foreign exchange transactions
• Prepare all statutory reporting notes relating to cash and debt for the Entain plc Annual Report and Accounts

  

WHO YOU ARE  -

Essential:

● Qualified accountant (ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent)
● Confident designing, reviewing and working with Excel-based reports
● Good knowledge of IFRS, FRS 101 and FRS 102
● Familiarity working directly with ERP systems (preferably Oracle Cloud/Fusion)● Ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of internal stakeholders (such asfinance, treasury, tax and legal colleagues) and external stakeholders (e.g. auditors)
 
Desired:
● Experience of working with treasury teams and on cash/debt/treasury matters
● Experience of, or an interest in, the gambling sector
