As our VP of Engineering you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our technology strategy. Managing our engineering team, you’ll oversee the design, development, and implementation of all software and hardware systems here at unikrn.

In this role you will

  • oversee and manage the frontend and backend development (20 in total)
  • collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and effectively communicate progress and challenges to the executive team.
  • develop and manage budgets, timelines, and resources for all engineering projects.
  • ensure that all software and hardware systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • develop and maintain relationships with external technology partners and vendors.
  • stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new technologies into our systems


What you will be doing

Quality & Time

  • Ensuring that the quality of the software and hardware developed meets the company's standards.
  • Ensuring that the frontend systems are easy to use and provide a positive user experience
  • Ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensuring that engineering projects are completed within budget and that resources are used efficiently


Team Performance

  • Ensuring that the engineering team is performing at a high level and meeting their individual KPIs
  •  Ensure that the engineering team is motivated and engaged
  • Provide opportunities for professional growth and development
  • Create a culture of innovation and collaboration, where team members feel empowered to contribute their ideas and expertise
  • Ensure that the Frontend and Backend departments are appropriately staffed and resourced to meet their objectives


Technical Innovations & Scalability

  • Encouraging the development of new technologies and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the backend development process and incorporating them into the company's systems
  • Ensuring the systems can handle increased traffic and usage as the company grows
  • Ensuring the systems are secure and protected from external threats
  • Keep the company up to date with the latest technologies and features



  • Ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed of project progress and any challenges that arise along the way
  • Ensuring that Frontend and Backend team are communicating and working effectively 


What we are looking for

  • At least 10 years of experience in software or hardware engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience leading Frontend and Backend Teams and delivering high-quality software
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, hardware engineering, and data management systems.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, manage projects, and deliver high-quality products on time
  • Ability to think strategically, develop long-term plans, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
