In 2021, Entain acquired unikrn to launch the company’s esports practice. unikrn is one of the world’s preeminent esports betting platforms. unikrn paved the wave in the sports betting industry by offering esports odds across 35 titles, as well as virtual esports and streamer betting. unikrn also boasts a skill-based betting platform that allows players to wager on themselves in ranked matches in the world’s most popular gaming titles.

 Objective of the role:

Craft compelling concepts and copy for unikrn's marketing campaigns across various platforms, ensuring consistency with the brand's voice and targeted audience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute creative concepts that align with marketing objectives, and manage multiple projects to deliver on time and on brand. Stay up-to-date with industry trends to generate fresh and engaging copy, and participate in brainstorming sessions for new ideas.

 Role Responsibilities 
 
  • Develop compelling concepts and copy for multiple platforms.

  • Collaborate with teams to align creative with brand and objectives.

  • Write consistent, targeted copy that reflects brand voice and tone.

  • Maintain brand messaging guidelines and style guide.

  • Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and ensure on-brand delivery.

  • Stay current with industry trends and competitors.

  • Participate in brainstorming and creative exercises.

  • Provide guidance and feedback to external copywriters.

  • Execute A/B testing plans to improve engagement.

Key Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in copywriting, with experience in conceptual copywriting preferred.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for detail.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects.

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.

  • Strong conceptual and creative thinking, and ability to translate complex ideas into compelling copy that resonates with target audiences.

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and ability to optimise copy for search engines.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and collaborate effectively with designers, art directors, and other creative professionals.

 Advantageous Requirements

  • Experience working on campaigns for esports or gaming industry.
