This team is based out of our Stratford office.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Retail Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a range of small to large scale  projects simultaneously, as defined within our CORE Retail plan. You will work on a variety of projects within our Retail division, including new product development, technology rollouts, process and procedure improvement, business efficiency, regulatory change and everything in between. Therefore, this role would lend itself to a more generalist Project Manager, who has strong experience in a large retail business.

Critically, as well as overseeing the overall project delivery, you will also be responsible for ensuring effective implementation of the project by working closely with our Internal Communications teams to deliver clear, concise and timely communications to the business.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Identify and receive appropriate retail project mandates in line with agreed business strategy and needs
  •  Develop comprehensive business cases for change, identifying risk, benefit, cost and timescale analysis – gaining required support & securing    funding where appropriate
  • Deliver successful outcomes through excellent project governance, ensuring all deviations, changes and risks are escalated through the defined channels
  • Ensure every project is planned and phased with the CORE Retail Plan, aligned with any pre-existing activity
  • Establish appropriate benchmarks against which projects can be assessed
  • Ensure projects are effectively communicated through their development and into execution & implementation
  • Manage all projects to deliver agreed outputs, ensuring they remain aligned to business strategy, are within the original scope and on target
  • Manage both internal teams and external partners to deliver project obligations to time and to budget by developing relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Work with Procurement team to identify & procure the most cost-effective and competitive solutions
  • Ensure appropriate handover of project outcomes to BAU environment and completion of project post evaluation using agreed KPI’s

WHO YOU ARE

  • We’re looking for an experienced project manager who has strong background in delivering a broad range of small to large-scale transformation projects.
  • Holds a qualification(s) in Project Management (PRINCE/AGILE/etc) are beneficial and demonstrate at least a theoretical understanding of project management.
  • Great attention to detail is a must in this role, as are excellent communication, planning and negotiation skills, alongside experience of budget control and the ability to bond well with others as a team player.
