Our UK offices are based in London (Stratford and Farringdon) and Nottingham, where we operate on a hybrid working model. (2+ days in the office)
WHAT YOU’LL DO
In this role you will be helping the group meet its direct tax obligations and providing accurate and timely tax information to the business. Based in Nottingham, part of the Tax Compliance & Reporting team, within a broader tax team of 25, you will:
- Be responsible for the initial preparation of UK corporate tax returns
- Assist in the production of tax calculations and disclosures for the group accounts, interim statements, and UK subsidiary accounts
- Dealing with a wide range of tax matters including, capital gains, double tax relief claims, capital allowances, corporate interest restrictions, tax loss management, etc.
- Ensure HMRC correspondence is processed and actioned on a timely basis
- Prepare withholding tax calculations, returns and treaty relief claims
- Support the business in employment tax areas such as, salary sacrifice arrangements, expenses policies, National Minimum Wage, etc.
- Share responsibility for Entain’s corporation tax governance and control environment, which support the group’s Senior Accounting Officer filings
- Have access to a wide range of tax issues in supporting the wider tax team with ad hoc projects and an ever changing regulatory environment
- Acting as ambassador for the tax team in all internal and external relationships
WHO YOU ARE
- Qualified / part qualified accountant and/or tax advisor, or relevant experience
- Organised with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
- Experience of corporation tax compliance processes for large groups
- Good IT skills including Excel
Desired
- Financial accounting skills
- Familiar with use of tax return compliance software (preferably Alphatax)
- Experience of using Oracle-based systems (ideally Oracle’s tax reporting software) or other tax reporting software
