As a senior frontend developer you will be developing new user-facing features for unikrn’s platform. You will build reusable codes and libraries for future uses. You will ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs while optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability. You will also own the validation of all user input. As part of the full process, you’ll also collaborate with our backend, QA, UX/UI team and many other stakeholders across the unikrn team.

What you will be doing:
Innovation & Implementation:

Implement tasks and projects defined in Jira tickets
-
Participate on defining features and tickets around them
-
Maintain and update existing web applications and interfaces, troubleshoot and debug issues, and continuously improve the user experience

Maintain clear and concise documentation of development activities, including code changes, bug fixes, and new feature implementation
-
Creation of new features
-
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and perform quality assurance testing to ensure web pages are error-free and functional on all platforms
Collaboration:
-
Collaborate with QA to diagnose and solve technical issues or bugs arising in systems during development and / or in production environments using bug trackers, version control systems, and continuous integration

Collaborate with UX/UI designers, back-end developers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of front-end designs with back-end functionalities.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to a collaborative team environment to ensure the highest standards of code quality.
Maintain Efficiency:

Estimate timelines for stakeholders, and manage sprints and releases for the engineering team using Agile methodology

Continuously strive to make improvements to the dev team process and the tools it uses to solve problems.

Manage time without oversight and proactively communicate pertinent statuses to project and team management. Understand how to get the most out of their leadership by utilizing one another’s time efficiently

Working in a modern, collaborative development environment using Git, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery

Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web development and make recommendations for improvements to existing systems

Optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability while maintaining high-quality code standards and practices.
What we are looking for:

3+ years experience web application design and implementation
-
Deep knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Javascript with mobile first development

General knowledge of frontend UI building frameworks and libraries (eg. React, AngularJS, Ember)

Knowledge of state management libraries (eg. Redux, MobX)

Knowledge of testing strategies and best practices
-
Working knowledge of the Unix/Linux command line

Common source control and deployment strategies (Git, Jenkins/CircleCI/Docker)

The ability to make quick decisions and iterate often

Passion for learning and always improving yourself and the team around you
